Each year, HBA dedicates the yearbook to one faculty member. This year, high school librarian Arlene Huster, who is retiring at the end of the school year, was named as the faculty honoree. Two seniors, Drew Lohr and Vanessa He, were also honored at the assembly as Mr. HBA and Miss HBA, a long-standing annual tradition at the school. Defined as “the school’s highest honor” for seniors, Mr. and Miss HBA are selected by faculty and high school students through a nominating and voting process.
“I feel really special, honored, and humbled. This place has been a great support for me, and I will really miss all the people, students, and teachers. I really want to express how much I love and care for them all.”

2026 Yearbook Dedication Honoree

“Honestly, I was really surprised that I won. I am filled with gratitude and love for HBA. It felt unreal to be on the stage that I watched since 8th grade and getting the title of Miss HBA. My word of advice: Don’t ever get discouraged, God is with you. That is all you need.”

“I feel very grateful and honored. I’m thankful for my teachers and classmates who choose me for this. A piece of advice I’d give is just do as much as you can by getting involved in any opportunity you get. It fills up your time, and it really feels good to help and see something get done.”
