Yes, it is Jaryd and not Jarred, Jarod, Jaret, or Jayrod. I'm a senior and have been with the Eagle Eye since my junior year. I'm a pretty big movie nerd. I love anything that has a good story like The Lego Movie, The Perks of Being a Wallflower, the Dark Knight trilogy, and The Lord of the Rings Trilogy. If you get me started, the conversation will not stop. I once spent over an hour explaining the plot of my favorite TV show, Once Upon a Time. Along those lines, my absolute dream is to write or create something that either makes an impact on readers' lives or entices directors to make a great (or at least true to the book) movie that is unlike the saddest movie adaptions of all, Percy Jackson & The Olympians: The LightningThief and its sequel.

In September, Miley Cyrus released the music video to her newest single “Wrecking Ball”. The video broke the VEVO 24 hour Record for views with an astounding 19.3 million. If Miley was looking for some attention, she got it. What probably made people flock to watch the video was news that Miley was naked for …

Student Council assigns Spirit Week dress-up days with a creative game. As usual, the student council started off the all-school homeroom with a game. Each grade had to select two representatives: "an intelligent boy" and "an athletic girl". The players had to place Christmas presents into their own hula hoop while trying to place other …

If you looked at all the pop songs from the 19th century to today, a huge majority of those songs are about one thing: love. Then, if one took the time to analyze the lyrics of love songs by women and love songs by men, there’s a distinct difference. Most songs performed by women are …

I always knew Pentatonix was going to do well. In 2011, the group of five won the acapella TV competition Sing Off on the NBC network, and since then, the group has experienced a lot of success with the release of their second EP (extended play) PTX vol. 2. A few weeks, the group released a video on …

“Video Killed the Radio Star” is a song by The Buggles, a British band, that came out in 1979. It depicts the fall of radio musicians due to the rise of television, which became very popular during this time period, or at least, many people finally had the money to buy one. Thirty years later, …

The part of science classes that students most look forward to is doing labs or hands-on projects. In Biology, there are sheep hearts. In Chemistry, there are chemical reactions. In Physics, there are bottle rockets. Recently, Andrew Vitek's Physics Class launched bottle rockets along the Nu'uanu stream. The students prepared soda bottles for launch by …

Insidious: Chapter 2 thrived on the fame of the first Insidious. In the first movie, a young boy named Dalton is swept into an unexplainable comma. Strange and terrifying events start plaguing the family. The family calls in Elise, a paranormal expert. Elise tells the family of a solution to their problem, but it’s risky. …

Demi Lovato is absolutely my favorite music artist. Her stunning vocals with powerful lyrics make for amazing songs. While I seriously love just about all of her songs, my top favorites of hers are “Skyscraper”, “Shouldn’t Come Back”, and “Give Your Heart a Break”. Perhaps my favorite part of Demi is her story. Years of …
