May 22, 2014 marked the Class of 2014’s final day of high school.
Vice principal Ryan Frontiera and student council advisor Tony Traughber organized the school’s inaugural Senior Sendoff to commemorate the seniors’ last day at school. Students from grades 9 through 11 lined the breezeway leading to the senior pavilion, and created a tunnel for the seniors to walk through as they left their final joint homeroom. Middle schoolers also joined the celebration to see the seniors off. Students cheered on the seniors as they made their way down the breezeway.
When all the seniors were gathered at the senior pavilion, current senior class president Walden Butay gave a speech and literally handed over a baton to Danielle Toda, the upcoming senior class president. With the baton, Butay handed over the senior pavilion and his leadership over the school to the Class of 2015. The next day, the Class of 2015 celebrated their first day in the senior pavilion with a breakfast provided by their class council.
