One of the most memorable experiences that students have at HBA is traveling to a foreign country with their classmates and friends. Every other year, the HBA World Languages Department takes Japanese Language students to Japan to see and experience first-hand what they are learning in the classroom. As Japanese teacher Elena Yoo says: “Until you really visit the country and see how the people live.. you really don’t realize why we have to learn things a certain way.”
