Video: Christian Emphasis Week 2017

Christian Emphasis Week (CEW) kicked off the second quarter for the middle and high school campuses.

Main guest speaker Emily Kiaha (YoungLife Area Director) spoke on the theme of “Wonder Why” during chapels that week, looking into the Gospels to answer questions like “Why Jesus” and “Why Me”.

Throughout the week, students attended a variety of seminars led by HBA faculty and guest speakers from local churches. Students enjoyed free shave ice, pop corn and live music during lunch periods that week. This year saw the debut of “CEW Sports” during lunch, which pitted students against teachers in a jousting match.

On Wednesday that week, the school also held its annual all-school chapel at the elementary campus, where high and middle school students were paired with elementary students for a time of fellowship and worship.

Hey, my name is Kaycee Nakashima. I am currently a senior and have been a part of the Eagle Eye for all four years of high school. I’ve been playing Taiko for nine years, and I’m a proud member of Taiko Center of the Pacific’s Youth Ensemble group. I enjoy binge watching shows/movies on Netflix in my free time and scrolling through Pinterest for new ideas. Enjoy!
