On December 3, 4, and 5, the fall semester theater class will be presenting it’s annual play at the elementary school auditorium.

This year’s play is a comedy titled “You Can’t Take It With You”. The play tells the story of a young girl, Alice, and her struggle to balance her quirky family and love life.

The class is split into two casts: a junior varsity and varsity cast. The lead roles for the varsity cast will be played by senior Mitchell Chamness and junior Paige Oshiro, while the lead roles for the junior varsity cast will be played by junior Caleb Noh and sophomore Blythe Yoshikane.

Students have been rehearsing twice a week for two hours after school in preparation for the show. Chamness says, “We worked hard and practiced a lot. There are a lot of funny parts and I can’t wait for people to see them.”

There are only about two weeks left before opening night. Junior Makenzie Cammack says, “I’m really excited to see the fall play. My friends in theater have told me about the plot and it seems really fun.”

Tickets are now available for $5 during lunch “under the stairs” in the mall area.
