Apple recently released the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus.

Both phones were breakthroughs for Apple featuring bigger displays than their predecessors, the iPhone 5s and 5c. Technology reviewers are saying this is the biggest and best release for Apple.

The new phones have undergone significant changes, including a new lock button, a bigger screen, and a new operating system (iOS 8). It is a very aesthetically pleasing phone, with rounded corners and a extremely thin profile at 6.9 mm and 7.1 mm. Both models come in silver, gold, and space grey. Being one of the thinnest phones on the market, the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus are both very light despite their large screen size.

The phones’ displays feature stunning resolutions; the 6 has a 1334×750 display, and the 6 Plus a 1920×1080 display. Pictures and videos are crystal clear with these new screens, a vast improvement from the 5s. Battery life has also been improved, which is a great benefit for avid gamers. Although there has been some controversy on whether or not the phone can bend in one’s pocket, unless you deliberately try to bend the phone, it shouldn’t bend under the stresses of daily use.

The camera has undergone vast improvements too. The iPhone 6 and 6 Plus can both capture slow-motion video at 240 fps, giving users extremely high quality footage.

By far, I think this is the best iPhone release ever. As the owner of a 5s, and having spent significant time with the 6 Plus, my phone now feels underwhelming. There are just a few negatives about the new phones, most of them stemming from software issues. For example, users have complained that apps don’t run as smoothly on iOS8 than they did with iOS7.

Apple has only room to improve upon the solid foundation set with both phones. I would definitely recommend these phones to both Apple or Android users because the usability is superb, and the phones are functional and beautiful.
