HBA’s 2019 Spirit Week—themed “Sidekick Story”—officially began this week Monday, January 7, with a lot of fierce competition.

Groups of middle and high school students formed individual squads and came to school dressed up in costumes reflecting one theme. For instance, the entire senior class banded together and all showed up to campus as “senior citizens”, while another group of juniors came as Cruella De Vil with her Dalmatians. The day ended with a combined middle and high school Spirit Assembly, where many cheers were exchanged as grades competed intensely against each other for Spirit points in the annual Tug-of-War match.

Here are the current standings:
1st Place: Sophomores (16 Points)
2nd Place: Juniors & Seniors (Tied, 15 Points)
4th Place: Eighth Grade (9 Points)
5th Place: Freshmen (8 Points)
6th Place: Seventh Grade (7 Points)
